Travel Storage Solutions That Actually Survive Transit

EVA cases are the right default for most transport: light, semi-rigid, and shaped so contents cannot rattle. They handle bag-crush well but are not submersible.
Waterproof IP67 cases add a gasket and pressure valve. If your route involves flights, boats or field work, the valve prevents the lid fighting you at altitude changes.
Hard carry cases with pick-and-pluck foam are the safest option for delicate instruments, but they cost space. Reserve them for equipment that would be expensive to replace.
Whichever you choose, pack so nothing can move. Movement, not impact, causes most transit damage.
